Weird news……..
I found a couple of very interesting news stories while trying to kill time at work the other day. The first involved a thirteen year old who has discovered how to kill e.coli.
My first thought is how is it a thirteen year old is the first to piece this together. This makes me think that there are other scientists who need to be reassigned or aren’t cutting it. While a great discovery no doubt, I am often amazed at how long as a species we take to create simple solutions to life’s problems.
Anyway the second involves an islamic man who gets divorced in his sleep.
Interesting theory, I think in truth this is a clever ploy by the wife to get out for some fun. She is the only one who can vouch for the story, as he of course was asleep. I especially like the rule that says they can’t get married again for 100 days, alright, but she has to sleep with another man and then he has to divorce her, first. Now that is an interesting rule. The accountant in me likens it to having someone else approve an invoice before it gets paid, but who knew such things could exist in the non-businesss world.
In our own backyard, a guy recently flipped out at the grocery store. Story goes something like, guys leaves kid in his car for 45 minutes alone in a parking lot. kid balls, security guard comes to the rescue and goes to find parent in supermarket. Parent freaks about this gets into argument with store people. Leaves with kid, punches security guard out, on the way home, stops at store marches in with a hatchet and lets the store people know he was none to happy, or stable for that matter.
Anyway no word whethe he was just upset at high prices, or he had bought the wrong milk. Tough to say, maybe Shania told him to do it.
and despite being named Cess-pit, dog defends family. Who names their dog Cess-Pit??
