On the horizon – the end of summer

September 26, 2009

This week there has been a definite change in the weather.  The first clue was when a quick walk at lunch didn’t make you sweat like Mike Tyson in a spelling bee.  The ocean temperature has started to fall, and of course it’s getting darker earlier.

While typically this is a bit of a sad time for most, we’re actually looking forward the October weather.  We’ll actually be able to go to the beach, take Keaton for walks outside again and not have to worry about the sweltering heat.  We’re especially looking forward to that since our treadmill has been broken for a while and in classic Bermuda fashion turns out that our machine is 6 or 7 years old, even though we bought it new 3 years ago, and according to the technician – "probably not worth fixing because these were lemons".  Hooray!
